What kinds of corruption can this fix?

It can fix images where the pixel data is partially readable — truncation artifacts, glitch blocks, color banding from bad memory writes. It cannot fix completely unreadable files where the browser itself cannot decode the format.

Inpainting fills in masked (selected) regions of an image by sampling colors from surrounding pixels. It is similar to Photoshop's Content-Aware Fill but runs entirely in your browser without AI.

Repair Corrupted or Damaged Images

When an image file gets corrupted — by a bad download, interrupted transfer, storage error, or partial overwrite — it can show glitches, color banding, scrambled regions, or simply refuse to open. This tool attempts to recover what it can through browser-based re-encoding and an inpainting brush tool that lets you paint over visibly damaged areas.
