Who We Are

Images Tool Box is an independent web project built and maintained by a small team of web developers who specialize in browser-based media processing. We have been building tools around file conversion, compression, and manipulation since the early days of the WebAssembly standard, and we launched this website to put those tools in front of people who need them most.

We are not a large corporation. We are developers who got tired of paying for desktop software and uploading sensitive files to unknown servers just to crop a photo or convert a PDF. We built the tools we wanted to use ourselves, and we made them free for everyone.

Why We Built This

The problem with most online file tools is simple: they are either expensive, ad-heavy to the point of being unusable, or they silently upload your files to a server you know nothing about. For personal photos, business documents, and anything sensitive, that is not acceptable.

We built Images Tool Box around a core principle: your files stay on your device whenever possible. The vast majority of our tools run entirely inside your browser using modern web technologies like the Canvas API, WebAssembly, and the Web Audio API. No upload required. No waiting. No wondering who has your files.

For the handful of operations that genuinely require server-side processing, we apply strict deletion policies. Files are processed and removed immediately. We do not store, analyze, or share them.

What We Offer

Images Tool Box has grown from a handful of image converters into a comprehensive suite covering over 130 tools across multiple categories:

• Image tools: compress, convert, resize, crop, rotate, flip, and enhance images in over 20 formats including JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, BMP, TIFF, and RAW formats
• GIF tools: create GIFs from video or images, convert GIF to MP4, extract frames, and control color palettes and frame rates
• Video tools: compress video, convert between formats, and adjust resolution using FFmpeg.wasm directly in the browser
• Audio tools: convert and compress MP3, WAV, and other audio formats
• PDF and document tools: compress PDFs, convert images to PDF, extract pages as JPG, and more

Every tool is designed with the same philosophy: one tool, one task, done well. No account required, no watermarks, no file size limits imposed to push you toward a paid plan.

Our Commitment to Quality

We actively maintain and improve every tool based on user feedback. When a browser API improves, we update our tools to take advantage of it. When users report bugs, we fix them. Our goal is not to publish a tool and forget it, but to build a resource that professionals and everyday users can rely on for years.

We take transparency seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains clearly how data is handled, our Terms of Service define the rules of using the site, and our Cookie Policy explains every cookie we use including those from Google AdSense, which helps fund the free service.
