What is perspective correction?

Perspective correction transforms a four-sided region of an image (a quadrilateral) into a flat rectangle. It undoes the distortion caused by photographing a flat surface at an angle.

Does this work for barrel or lens distortion?

No. This tool fixes linear perspective skew caused by camera angle. Barrel and fisheye distortion require a different lens correction algorithm.

What output format is produced?

The corrected image is exported as a PNG file at the natural resolution of the selected quad.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. All processing happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.

Can I undo a correction and try again?

Yes. After applying a correction you can adjust the handles and apply again at any time without re-uploading.
