What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, and other common image formats are supported. The tool works best with high-resolution images of clear text.

How accurate is the text extraction?

Accuracy depends on image quality. High-resolution, clear, well-lit images with standard fonts typically achieve 90-95% accuracy. Handwriting or low-quality images may have lower accuracy.

Can I extract text from handwriting?

OCR is optimized for printed text. Handwriting recognition is possible but accuracy is much lower and depends on handwriting style and clarity.

Does this tool upload my images?

No. All processing happens in your browser using the Tesseract.js library. Your images are never sent to any server.

What languages are supported?

The default OCR engine is optimized for English text. Other languages may be partially recognized but with lower accuracy.
