What images work best with this tool?

Logos, icons, and simple illustrations with a solid or near-solid background color give the cleanest results. Complex photos with gradients or detailed backgrounds work better with the AI background remover.

Why does it remove parts of my subject?

If the tolerance is too high, colors inside the subject that are similar to the background color will also become transparent. Lower the tolerance to 5-15 for fine details or areas with similar colors.

What format is the output?

The tool always outputs a PNG file because PNG is the only common web format that supports full alpha transparency. JPG does not support transparent pixels.

Can I remove multiple colors?

You can re-apply the tool multiple times by picking different colors. Each application replaces the current result.

Is my image stored on a server?

No. All processing is done in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
