Why is RAR creation not available?

The RAR compression algorithm is proprietary to RARLAB. Creating RAR files legally requires a licensed copy of WinRAR. This is not a browser limitation — no web tool can create RAR files.

Can I extract 7z or RAR files?

7z extraction requires a dedicated WASM build not bundled here. RAR extraction requires the proprietary unrar engine. Both are better handled by 7-Zip on your desktop.

Is password protection secure?

ZIP 2.0 passwords (used here) are considered weak by modern standards and can be brute-forced. For genuinely sensitive files, use 7-Zip's AES-256 ZIP encryption on your desktop.
